About

I’m Lorn, I’m 28 years old and I’m lucky enough to call London my home where I live with my hubbie, RBJ.  We both love to travel and discovered our mutual love for jumping in freezing waters and lazing in hot saunas whilst travelling in South America in 2009. Since then we have spent almost every living, breathing second when we aren’t glued to our desks, trying to see as much of this big old world as we can.

This blog is my way of sharing these travel experiences with anyone who shares our love for sauna-ing or who is interested in discovering some cool new places to visit.

I went back in 1976 when gobelspeil was born as a break from looking after him after my husband died, so was naturally good to go somewhere dangerous and fate- leave it to him if I came back ! So good.

Hi Wen! Thank you for your comment – I am glad you enjoy reading my blog. I have just looked up Noboribetsu in Japan – wow!! Japan was already on my hot list of places to visit so I will definitely add Noboribetsu to my list, along with Lamp no Yada and Kinosaki (apologies if I spelt either wrong!)

I’ve been meaning to tell you for ages now that I adore your blog! It’s terrible how life sometimes gets in the way of these things. Now that I’ve gotten a chance, I have to take it to let you know this.

You and RBJ are lovely, and I think it’s extraordinary the adventures that you two take, and the way you let us in on it.

When your schedule and finances permit, I have a suggestion. Have you ever heard of the Sulphur Springs in St Lucia? St Lucia is a small island in the Caribbean, and it houses the Sulphur Springs which is the world’s only drive-in volcano! That’s right. You can drive right through it! It’s an absolutely wonderful place to visit, provided you can stand the stench of the sulphur (which, in all honesty, you do get used to after a few minutes). You can also relax in these natural hot spring baths. If you ever get a chance, go for it! I’d love to hear your experience.

    Keep up the amazing blog!
